Adventures in DIY deodorant

The quest to avoid smelling like the bog of eternal stench continues...

I tried a new experimental batch today. It took less than 15 minutes to make - it would've taken longer to go to the nearest shops and buy some! The recipe is below.

1 tbsp Shea butter
1 tbsp Coconut oil
1 tbsp Beeswax
6 drops of lemongrass essential oil
4 drops of basil essential oil
2 drops of coconut perfume oil

My pits feel and smell delightful after using this for a week 😉 There's no nasty rash appearing which is great (for those new to natural deodorant, sometimes the formulations with baking soda or bicarb can irritate the skin).

I'm off to tropical North Queensland next week so this batch can get road tested in a hotter environment to see how it really stands up! Stay tuned!
