Census Engagement Managers
These are the first positions now open. You’ll steer efforts to get your community to take part. If you know your crowd and can talk to people with ease, this role is a great fit for you.
- Hourly rate: $61.50/hr (including casual loading) plus superannuation.
Field Officers & Field Managers

- Field Officers: You don’t need previous experience—you’ll learn on the job. You’ll hand out materials, answer questions, and guide people as they fill out Census forms.
- Field Managers: You’ll supervise small teams, train new staff, and make sure materials are delivered and returned. The rate for this role is $41.08/hr.
- Both positions help shape local programs that influence schools, hospitals, and transport.
